Specialise in computer forensic strategies for international regulatory matters, investigations, and cross border civil litigation, including aspects of privacy laws and safe harbour requirements.
First Vice President, High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) APAC Chapter. Teaching credentials include US University of Virginia Law School on cross-border e-discovery, UK University of Glamorgan MSc (Computer Forensics) and US National College of District Attorneys on computer evidence. Provided MCLE and CPD accredited courses for numerous local and international law firms on computer forensics and e-discovery.
Regularly speak and write on forensics and e-discovery issues, including cover story of November 2007 Issue of Asian Counsel on electronic discovery and co-author of upcoming article on forensics in cloud computing for US legal journal.
Speaking engagements in 2009 include Council of International Investigators AGM, panel moderator at 2009 Hong Kong data forensics and e-discovery conference, OSAC Hong Kong, ASIS APAC annual conference, and the Beijing anti-corruption conference.
Recent engagements have included Hong Kong SFC insider trading investigation, processing and hosting data for a Hong Kong ICAC related investigation, managing collection of data in six jurisdictions for a fraud investigation, US FCPA investigations in Japan and Indonesia, determining discovery scope across global enterprise infrastructure for an antitrust matter, and planning and conducting the collection of nearly 10TB of data in China for a US Securities litigation. Work product has data source/ESI mapping for defensible e-discovery scope.
